The camera pans around the bedroom so the viewer knows what happened. The colour of the bed sheets is red. Red is the colour of passion and love, which represents Willow and Tara's feelings for each other. It also matches the name of the episode, 'Seeing Red'.
Even though Andrew is at the forefront, him and Jonathan are out of focus. This signifies that Warren is the most important out of the trio, and that he has the most power. They are all wearing dark colours, symbolising their status as villains.
Although Dawn is speaking, she remains. Also, the camera continuously follows Spike. This shows that he holds more importance in this scene, and that the audience should be focusing on him and his reactions. Dawn's clothing is lightly-coloured, as opposed to the darkness of Spike's attire and home. This signifies Dawn's innocence, and the darkness of Spike's character.
This wide shot of Buffy and Xander demonstrates their separation in this scene. Buffy is sitting upright, showing she is uncomfortable in this situation. Xander is not looking at her, which shows his anger at her. Again, the colour red is prominent, reflecting the title of the episode and the anger of Xander.
